Corn flake candy is a treat that my Gran made sometimes for our Sunday afternoon visits. Adults and children loved it! Like all of Gran's recipes, the ingredients are simple, but the taste is amazing!
Assemble and measure all of the ingredients first. You will need 1 cup sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, 1 cup peanut butter, and 6 cups corn flakes.
Pour the corn syrup and sugar into a heavy pan, use a pan that is large enough to hold all of the ingredients!
Over medium heat, stir continually the sugar and corn syrup until all of the sugar has melted and the mixture has come to a boil.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the peanut butter, and stir well, careful the mixture is hot!
Add the cornflakes to the mixture and stir until all of the corn flakes are coated with this yummy peanut butter mixture.
Pour into a buttered pan, allow to cool and cut into squares, or drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper.
