A Small Tweak

The smallest changes often make the biggest difference. The plate rack below was a gold color. A little bit of black spray paint gave the rack a make over.

The plates and rack were purchased some time ago ( like before DH and I were married ) and I still liked the plates, but the rack was looking a bit dated. There was a can of black spray on hand. I knew that it would only take a little bit of paint. Perfect for a mini make over.

I kept something that I liked and updated it using a small amount of paint and a few minutes of my time. The price was right!

Remember the chimney cabinet that was in desperate need of painting and love? Here is a sneak peak.

  7. I would never tire of those pretty plates either and they look perfect in the newly painted holder. I have the same one and I also had a chimney cabinet that I loved and used for years. It now is being used and enjoyed in our daughters home. It is so well built and I painted it white years ago. I preferred not, but she painted the center door panels with black chalkboard paint. It looks nice.

    1. I loved those plates when I saw them and have used them for years now! Funny thing is that I bought them in a discount store for a few dollars and saw the same plates in a gift shop for a ridiculous price! You know that you found something good when you are still using it years later! Thanks for visiting!!!
